Responsibilities- Serve as the primary point of contact for the Düsseldorf office, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations.
- Manage office supplies inventory, place orders, and maintain relationships with vendors and suppliers.

Overview
ICRISAT seeks applications from dynamic and motivated Madagascan nationals for the role of Executive – Administration to provide administrative and operational support to the projects in the Global Research Program, Accelerated Crop Improvement. This position is based in Madagascar. This is a nationally recruited position.
ICRISAT is a non-profit, non-political organization that conducts agricultural research for development in Asia and sub-Saharan Africa with a wide array of partners throughout the world. Covering 6.5 million square kilometers of land in 55 countries, the semi-arid or dryland tropics has over 2 billion people and 644 million of these are the poorest of the poor. ICRISAT and its partners help empower these disadvantaged populations to overcome poverty, hunger and a degraded environment through better agricultural production systems.
ICRISAT is headquartered at Patancheru near Hyderabad, India, with two regional hubs and eight country offices in sub-Saharan Africa. ICRISAT envisions a prosperous, food-secure and resilient dryland tropics. Its mission is to reduce poverty, hunger, malnutrition and environmental degradation in the dryland tropics. ICRISAT conducts research on its mandate crops of chickpea, pigeonpea, groundnut, sorghum, pearl millet and finger millet in the arid and semi-arid tropics. The Institute focuses its work on the drylands and in protecting the environment. Tropical dryland areas are usually seen as resource-poor and perennially beset by shocks such as drought, thereby trapping dryland communities in poverty and hunger and making them dependent on external aid.
Duties and Responsibilities- Serve as the first point of contact for ICRISAT, providing a warm and professional welcome to clients, visitors, and employees.
- Maintain all office records, filing of relevant official documents including Donor Grants, sub-grant contracts, Partnership Agreements, hosting agreements, MOUs, etc.
- Manage Front Desk Operations by maintaining a clean and organized reception area, including managing visitor logs.
- Schedule appointments by coordinating and scheduling appointments and meetings for staff, ensuring all arrangements are properly communicated and organized.
- Provide logistical support during Workshops, Events, Conferences, etc. Play a key role in organizing both internal and external meetings and assisting visitors or participants.
- Write minutes of the proceedings in meetings and file them accordingly.
- Help in translation of French documentation to English and vice versa and be a translator in meetings.
- Bachelor’s degree in administration or related field with at least 2 years of relevant experience.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Professional appearance and attitude.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Strong interpersonal skills and customer service orientation.
This is a contractual role for a period of 36 months (3 years).
