About the job

FORMANCE is looking for a Risk & Compliance Officer to support our growth and play a key role in strengthening our risk management and compliance frameworks.

As a Risk & Compliance Officer, you’ll be an essential part of our governance and operational resilience strategy : identifying, assessing, and monitoring regulatory, operational, and financial risks, while ensuring our activities remain fully compliant with applicable laws, industry standards, and internal policies.

You’ll also act as a key point of contact for internal teams, auditors, and regulatory bodies, and contribute to the continuous improvement of our risk management and compliance procedures.

What you'll do :

  • Lead the compliance assurance function , including the design, implementation, and monitoring of internal controls.
  • Conduct compliance and operational risk assessments ; identify control gaps and implement corrective action plans.
  • Ensure continued compliance with global standards (ISO 27001, SOC 1 & 2, DORA, GDPR, CCPA) and local regulations .
  • Collaborate with legal teams and jurisdictional experts to manage region-specific compliance issues .
  • Oversee and continuously improve the Internal Control Framework , especially around onboarding and operational processes.
  • Lead the review and update of policy documents , ensure wide dissemination and staff training.
  • Drive a compliance culture through training, workshops, and proactive stakeholder engagement.
  • Provide regular compliance reporting and risk analysis to senior management and governance committees.
  • Monitor regulatory changes and emerging risks; advise internal teams on implications and required actions.

Who you are : Must-haves

  • Experienced compliance and risk management professional with around 10 years of experience, who has worked in a large consulting firm, financial institution, or a Big 4.
  • Successfully managed compliance across multiple jurisdictions, and you bring a structured, intellectually curious, and solution-oriented mindset.
  • Deep knowledge of DORA, GDPR, CCPA, SOC 1 & 2, ISO 27001 .
  • Strong understanding of cybersecurity frameworks and regulatory risk management.
  • Solid foundation in compliance, internal control, and project management in regulated industries.
  • Ability to collaborate with legal experts or external counsel on regional regulatory matters.
  • Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills , including C-level interaction.
  • Fluent / native-level English required.
  • Nice-to-haves

  • Familiarity with compliance automation , RPA , or RegTech tools .
  • Background in payments, KYC, AML , or large data-driven environments (e.g., cybersecurity or research institutions).
  • Legal network or ability to quickly engage the right legal expertise.

    Au sein de la Direction Compliance & Corporate, vous travaillerez sous la supervision du Responsable Compliance sur l’actualisation, l’amélioration et la mise en œuvre du dispositif de prévention et de gestion des risques de conformité.

    Vous interviendrez plus particulièrement sur le dispositif de prévention et de gestion des risques de corruption et de trafic d’influence ainsi que sur les risques liés au non-respect des sanctions internationales. Vous serez notamment amené(e) à travailler, tant pour les sociétés françaises que pour les filiales étrangères du pôle, sur la cartographie des risques, l’évaluation des tiers, les audits « compliance » dans le cadre des projets de développement, l’établissement de nouvelles procédures de prévention, ainsi que les mesures de contrôle associées.

    Vous interviendrez également sur les sujets liés à la conformité avec l’ensemble de la réglementation applicable en matière de protection des données à caractère personnel (dont le RGPD).

    Vous participerez, à ce titre, à l’identification, la prévention, l’évaluation et le contrôle des risques de non-conformité et à la diffusion d’une culture de la conformité au sein du pôle.

    Votre profil

    Vous êtes au niveau Master 2 en droit des affaires, éthique et compliance et/ou au sein d’une école de commerce et/ou de Sciences Po, avec idéalement une spécialisation en conformité et management des risques ;

    Vous avez une bonne compréhension des organisations et modes de gouvernance de l’entreprise ;

    Vous aimez travailler en équipe ; faites preuve de pragmatisme, êtes dynamique, curieux, rigoureux, et à l’aise dans un environnement de travail pluridisciplinaire et international.

    Compétences particulières : La maîtrise orale et écrite de l'anglais est indispensable et celle de l'espagnol vivement appréciée.

    We are seeking a Cybersecurity Risk Management Specialist to identify, assess, quantify, and manage enterprise cybersecurity risks through comprehensive risk management programs, advanced risk assessment methodologies, and strategic communication with executive leadership and the board of directors.

    Key Responsibilities Risk Identification & Assessment
    • Conduct comprehensive enterprise-wide cybersecurity risk assessments across all business functions and technology assets.
    • Identify and catalog cyber threats, vulnerabilities, and risk scenarios using structured methodologies.
    • Perform quantitative and qualitative risk analysis using industry-standard frameworks (FAIR, NIST, ISO 31000).
    • Assess business impact and likelihood of cybersecurity incidents on organizational operations.
    • Develop risk scenarios and threat modeling for emerging technologies and business initiatives.
    Risk Quantification & Analysis
    • Implement quantitative risk analysis methodologies including Monte Carlo simulations and statistical modeling.
    • Calculate potential financial impact of cybersecurity incidents including operational losses, regulatory fines, and reputational damage.
    • Develop risk metrics, KPIs, and risk appetite statements aligned with business objectives.
    • Create risk heat maps, dashboards, and visualization tools for risk communication.
    • Perform cost-benefit analysis for cybersecurity investments and risk mitigation strategies.
    Risk Treatment & Mitigation
    • Develop comprehensive risk treatment plans including mitigation, acceptance, transfer, and avoidance strategies.
    • Coordinate with technical teams to implement risk mitigation controls and validate their effectiveness.
    • Manage cybersecurity insurance programs and evaluate coverage adequacy.
    • Establish risk monitoring and early warning systems for critical risk indicators.
    • Track risk mitigation progress and measure residual risk levels.
    Executive Communication & Reporting
    • Prepare executive-level risk reports and presentations for C-suite and board of directors.
    • Translate technical cybersecurity risks into business language and financial impact terms.
    • Facilitate risk committee meetings and provide strategic risk advisory services.
    • Develop risk communication strategies for various stakeholder audiences.
    • Support crisis communication and incident impact assessment during security events.
    Required Qualifications Technical Skills
    • 6+ years experience in cybersecurity risk management or enterprise risk management roles.
    • Expert knowledge of risk assessment methodologies (FAIR, NIST RMF, ISO 27005, OCTAVE).
    • Strong experience with quantitative risk analysis tools and statistical modeling techniques.
    • Proficiency in risk management platforms (GRC tools, risk registers, dashboard creation).
    • Understanding of cybersecurity frameworks, threat landscapes, and attack methodologies.
    • Knowledge of business continuity, disaster recovery, and crisis management principles.
    Business Skills
    • Proven ability to quantify cybersecurity risks in financial terms and business impact metrics.
    • Experience communicating complex risk concepts to non-technical executives and board members.
    • Strong understanding of regulatory risk, compliance requirements, and legal implications.
    • Knowledge of insurance markets, risk transfer mechanisms, and contractual risk allocation.
    Preferred Qualifications

    The aim of this internship is to participate in the compliance monitoring of the Group and Local Investment Guidelines and to contribute to the market/credit risk following.

    The intern will participate in the update / enhancement of the compliance monitoring tool. He will work on the update of the Investment Guidelines and on any ad-hoc request.

    The intern will participate in the production of market risk statistics (VaR, sensitivities, stress tests) and risk
    following for SCOR entities, providing insights into risk drivers of the investment portfolio.

    Responsibilities

    Under the supervision of the GIO Head of Risk and Investments Control:

    • Participate in the weekly and quarterly reporting on compliance, including escalation of breaches to make sure that the management is aware of the anomalies. Work with asset managers to take timely remediation actions if necessary.
    • Participate in weekly and quarterly reporting on Market risk, including calculation of risk figures and production of risk following reports.
    • Enhance the existing compliance monitoring tool (Power BI). Develop tools (queries, analysis) with related documentation.

    Description du poste

    Au sein de l’équipe de gestion du risque, vous assisterez le service dans les missions :

    • Contrôle et analyse des risques de marché des fonds gérés par Sycomore AM,
    • Suivi des performances des marchés et des fonds,
    • Production des reportings pour l’équipe de gestion, pour la direction et pour les clients.
    • Mise à jour des données financières et extra financières pour les présentations clients.

    Vous assisterez également l’équipe de gestion des risques dans ses tâches de support aux équipes commerciales et de gestion. La liste des domaines d’intervention n’est pas limitative.

    Ce stage d’une durée de 6 mois est à pourvoir à compter de septembre 2025.

    Qualifications

    Vous êtes actuellement en dernière année de formation pour un diplôme Bac + 5 en mathématiques supérieures, avec une spécialisation en finance ou en année de césure.

    Vos études et vos expériences vous ont permis d’acquérir une bonne connaissance des produits financiers et de comprendre les activités de gestion de portefeuille.

    • Vous maîtrisez les outils bureautiques (Excel, Access.) et la programmation (VBA, Python, SQL, .).
    • Vous êtes rigoureux et autonome

    MISSIONS

    Your Role And Responsabilities

    Within the Group, you will join the AXA SA Risk Management department . This department oversees the management of all risks potentially impacting AXA SA, the holding and internal reinsurance company of the AXA Group. It encompasses a team dedicated to the Operational risks and Internal Control, a team dedicated to the financial activities of the holding activity, a team dedicated to the financial risks of the reinsurance business and to transversal topics and a team focusing on technical and reinsurance risks.

    Within this Department, you will be part of the Technical and Reinsurance credit risks team. This team currently composed of 4 actuaries in addition to the manager of the team is mainly responsible for i) computing the required capital (both under the internal model and standard formula) of the Life, P&C and Reinsurance Credit risks, ii) monitor Risk Appetite of AXA SA on technical risks and participate to the Group Risk Appetite monitoring for the Reinsurance Counterparty risk and iii) delivering 2nd Opinion on key technical processes.

    Your Job And Daily Missions

    The job exists to support the Technical and Reinsurance credit risks team to model the new perimeters of business accepted by AXA SA from Life and Health companies. The objective of the position is to be adequately staffed for all necessary Risk Management duties around the risks present in this new paradigm for AXA SA.

    CONTEXT AND MAJOR CHALLENGES

    The main challenge of the job is to be able to rapidly understand the risk management framework in place at AXA SA and to apply it to these new businesses. This is particularly challenging since i) the risks brought by these businesses are rather new for the AXA SA team, ii) these projects are very important for the Group and its strategic plan creating high pressure around the quality and timing of the deliverables and iii) new processes are to be set with many stakeholders (entities such as AXA France or New Co, ASA Finance team, Ceded Re …).

    The ability of the person in charge to combine technical expertise and excellent communication is key for succeeding in the role.

    Key Accountabilities

    • Compute the technical risks capital requirements both under internal model and standard formula for Capital Management reinsurance on Life & Health business
    • Liaise with local entities to ensure the quality of the data to be used for AXA SA solvency calculation
    • If needed, perform DFA run with appropriate tools (Sunrise) to derive required data for solvency calculation
    • Produce all key Solvency 2 deliverables related to Capital Management reinsurance on Life & Health business : technical documentation, Data Quality mapping, validation tests, QRT, KMP, Risk Appetite metrics, projected Solvency Capital requirement on technical risks
    • Lead the Liquidity modelling of technical risks on the Life & Health business
    • Participate and potentially lead studies linked to the Life business : pricing, structuring…
    • Participate in Internal Model Application Pack for the extension to the Capital Management reinsurance on Life & Health business
    • Participate in 2nd Opinion on Underwriting and Reserving on the Life & Health business

    YOUR PROFILE

    Technical And Professional Skills

    • Strong expertise in Life & Health business risk management, reserving or pricing,
    • Good knowledge of Solvency II metrics, balance sheet and good understanding of Solvency II regulation,
    • Good Knowledge of (re)insurance business,
    • A knowledge of Life modelling tools (Sunrise) would be a plus,
    • Good knowledge of R or Python and VBA languages,
    • Project management capacities,
    • At ease to work in English or fluent in English.

    Soft Skills

    • Proven high reliability, quality and timeliness of deliverables,
    • Ability to work autonomously as well as with a team,
    • Organizational skills,
    • Ability to interact with a wide range of correspondents at various levels of management including accountants, Risk Management actuaries within entities, Pricing actuaries
