As a T-shaped marketer, you will combine deep SEO expertise with a broad understanding of marketing, analytics, and digital growth. You will work closely with leadership, product, design, content, and development teams to ensure SEO is embedded across every function of the business. The ideal candidate is both analytical and creative, capable of developing data-driven strategies while inspiring cross-functional teams to execute at the highest level.
Responsibilities- Strategy & Leadership — Define the organization’s SEO vision, long-term growth roadmap, and execution strategy. Design and implement comprehensive SEO initiatives across technical SEO, content strategy, link-building, and experimentation. Evaluate and prioritize opportunities based on ROI, complexity, and competitive landscape. Align SEO objectives with overarching business KPIs, including marketing qualified leads (MQLs), customer acquisition cost (CAC), annual recurring revenue (ARR), and pipeline velocity. Continuously monitor search engine trends, algorithm updates, and industry best practices to maintain a competitive advantage. Work with content and editorial teams to build a scalable framework for keyword-driven, high-performing content. Collaborate with design and UX / UI teams to ensure website changes and new templates support both usability and SEO performance. Align closely with marketing and demand generation teams to integrate SEO into campaigns, events, and broader growth initiatives. - Performance Tracking & Reporting — Establish a robust measurement framework for SEO, defining clear KPIs and success benchmarks. Use advanced analytics tools (GA4, Google Search Console, Ahrefs, SEMrush, Looker Studio) to monitor performance, identify opportunities, and track progress. Translate complex SEO data into actionable insights and recommendations that can be easily understood by non-technical stakeholders. Identify gaps in analytics or reporting and collaborate with data teams to enhance measurement accuracy.
- Team & Vendor Management — Build and lead an SEO team (in-house or distributed), ensuring a balance of technical expertise, content strategy, and off-page authority building. Manage external SEO agencies, freelancers, or consultants, ensuring alignment with internal goals and quality standards. Mentor and upskill team members across departments, fostering greater SEO literacy throughout the organization.
- Must-Haves — 4+ years of proven SEO strategy and leadership experience, ideally in a tech-driven environment. Demonstrated track record of scaling organic channels to deliver measurable business results (e.g., revenue growth, lead generation, or market expansion). Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret large datasets and make data-driven decisions. Proficiency in SEO and analytics platforms, including GA4, Google Search Console, Ahrefs, SEMrush, Moz, and Looker Studio. Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence executives and cross-functional peers. Deep understanding of how SEO intersects with broader marketing, product, and sales strategies.
- Nice-to-Haves — Experience managing SEO at scale for international or enterprise-level websites. Familiarity with CRO (Conversion Rate Optimization), paid media, and marketing automation tools. Hands-on experience with technical SEO concepts such as schema markup, JavaScript rendering, and Core Web Vitals. Background in leading distributed teams or managing agency partnerships.
This is a rare opportunity to take ownership of a mission-critical growth channel at a pivotal stage in our company’s expansion. As Head of SEO, you will shape not only our search performance but also how SEO informs and strengthens the broader go-to-market strategy. You will be empowered to make high-level decisions, experiment with innovative approaches, and directly impact the scalability of our business.
