Au sein de la division Industrie, l’équipe Industrie accompagne des acteurs leaders tels que SAINT-GOBAIN, SOLVAY, IMERYS, ESSILOR-LUXOTTICA, DASSAULT, SCHNEIDER, VEOLIA, AIRBUS, ORANO, EDF … dans leurs problématiques d’innovation et développement des nouveaux marchés (nouvelles offres, nouvelles technologies, nouvelles géographies…).

L’équipe a pu travailler sur des sujets aussi divers que la décarbonisation des matières premières pour l’industrie du bâtiment, la stratégie de développement dans les marchés de l’hydrogène, l’émergence de nouvelles technologies dans le domaine des batteries, le développement de biosurfactants, ou encore le développement de nouveaux matériaux stratégiques en Europe, etc!

En tant que Business Developer , vous rejoignez l’équipe avec pour objectif de conquérir et de fidéliser de nouveaux clients. Votre objectif est de devenir à court moyen terme le Responsable de la Business Unit Santé dont vous recruterez et managerez l’équipe (consultant et project manager).

Vos missions consistent à :

  • Créer et développer votre portefeuille de clients et prospects
  • Rencontrer des décideurs de haut niveau (Directeur Innovation, R&D, Marketing…)
  • Etablir des propositions commerciales sur mesure
  • Être l’interface entre vos clients et les équipes projet
  • Assurer le suivi des missions en interne
  • Développer les compétences et savoir-faire de l’équipe

Pour mener vos missions, vous travaillez main dans la main avec les membres de l’équipe.

  • De formation Bac+5 (grande école d’ingénieurs et/ou de commerce), vous avez un mental d’entrepreneur et vous avez un goût à la fois pour les sujets d’innovation et pour la vente
  • Vous souhaitez évoluer dans une fonction managériale
  • Vous parlez couramment français et anglais

The holder of the position works with trading desks and other stakeholders throughout the organization to identify opportunities for leveraging data in order to help traders take positions on the market and more broadly the company to catch new business opportunities. This requires in-depth analysis of complex and unique problems as well as creative and strategic thinking.

The team works in close collaboration with other teams, fostering a culture of knowledge sharing and cross-functional expertise. What you will do

  • Develop and maintain models to analyse European power and emissions market prices and fundamental data (supply, demand, flows, generation, weather impact.) and stay up to date on market structure in terms of companies, infrastructure and regulations. This also includes PPA market, BESS economics and tolling agreements…
  • In collaboration with IT and data scientists within the team, develop and maintain analytical tools and processes to improve and automate data gathering and analysis. Monitor availability of new data sources and tools to expand the current reach of the team’s analytics.
  • Develop and maintain predictive forecasting models using quantitative and qualitative methods. Monitor the driving forces on the markets, apply economics concepts to forecasts and price determination mechanisms and be the main point of contact for all questions and topics related to the European power and emissions market on the trade floor
  • Maintain an understanding of the trading desks business models and stay up to date regarding their positions in order to develop a market view and produce trading recommendations, risk management advisories and price forecasts
  • Lead discussions with trading desks and/or senior management.
  • Collaborate with the other regional analysts to buildcross-commodity/cross-geography analytics and forecastsand with quantitative analysts and data scientists within the team to leverage advanced analytical techniques

This role plays a key part in supporting the pricing and risk management of TGP’s portfolio of financial and physical assets: CCGT, renewables, BESS…

In a context of great autonomy, the PAM team contributes interpretation, advisory and support to all TGP trading desks and to senior management - including COMEX members - and helps them define trading strategies and take investment decisions.

The holder of the position works with trading desks and other stakeholders throughout the organization to identify opportunities for leveraging data in order to help traders take positions on the market and more broadly the company to catch new business opportunities. This requires in-depth analysis of complex and unique problems as well as creative and strategic thinking.

The team works in close collaboration with other teams, fostering a culture of knowledge sharing and cross-functional expertise. These teams include gas market experts, meteorologists, ML/AI experts within TGP but also long term power analysts and modelling experts from the ‘Flexible Power & Integration’ Business Unit.

What you will do

  • Develop and maintain models to analyse European power and emissions market prices and fundamental data (supply, demand, flows, generation, weather impact.) and stay up to date on market structure in terms of companies, infrastructure and regulations. This also includes PPA market, BESS economics and tolling agreements…
  • In collaboration with IT and data scientists within the team, develop and maintain analytical tools and processes to improve and automate data gathering and analysis. Monitor availability of new data sources and tools to expand the current reach of the team’s analytics.
  • Develop and maintain predictive forecasting models using quantitative and qualitative methods. Monitor the driving forces on the markets, apply economics concepts to forecasts and price determination mechanisms and be the main point of contact for all questions and topics related to the European power and emissions market on the trade floor
  • Maintain an understanding of the trading desks business models and stay up to date regarding their positions in order to develop a market view and produce trading recommendations, risk management advisories and price forecasts
  • Lead discussions with trading desks and/or senior management.
  • Collaborate with the other regional analysts to buildcross-commodity/cross-geography analytics and forecastsand with quantitative analysts and data scientists within the team to leverage advanced analytical techniques
  • Carry ad hoc analysis and projects in support of traders and senior management
  • Provide written reports to global TGP trading desks and senior management, as well as to Paris headquarters, affiliates and market partners; create and update presentations on market-related topics
  • Ensure analytical support to Paris headquarters (Flexible Power & Integration BU, Strategy, REN, Business Development, etc) on market-related issues.
  • Help in the training and functional management of junior market analysts.

Accountabilities

  • Provide in-depth analysis to identify current and future drivers and behaviours of the European power and emissions markets.
  • Provide a proactive advisory view of the European power and emissions market to the relevant desks and to the management
  • Help build and communicate a global view of energy markets, enhance the Company’s understanding of energy markets interactions
  • Promote TGP trading activities to market partners and counterparts via reports, meetings and intervention at external meetings and conferences
  • You are graduated from a Master Degree in Economics, Business, Mathematics or Engineering
  • You have excellent modelling and analytical skills with strong attention to detail demonstrated by at least 6 years of experience in an analytical or quantitative function;
  • You have knowledge of the European power and emissions market, power systems dispatch and flows dynamics and/or understanding of operations;
  • Working experience within a trading environment is required;
  • Familiarity with visualization frameworks (Tableau/PowerBI/etc.) as well as programming skills (SQL/R/Python), are strongly preferred;
  • Fluent in English (oral and written) – knowledge of French and/or other languages is an advantage
  • You demonstrate objectivity and you are always resourceful when solving a problem is required and when there is a need to adapt quickly
  • You have an innovative mind and your sense of organisation enables you to strive is a fast-paced environment
  • You should be able to explain complex issues and present them in a clear and concise manner.
  • Some travel to other trading offices (Houston, Singapore) and/or Paris may be required.
