Job Summary
You'll be part of the development of our HyLighter, working at the intersection of electronics, embedded programming, and hardware integration.
The Mission
Under the guidance of the mechatronics engineer, you will:
- Develop and integrate new embedded systems into the HyLighter
- Enhance the robustness of current electronics and embedded systems
- Participate in the system architecture and technical studies
- Be at the crusade of software and hardware development
- Learn about the engineering decisions taken to face new developments: new systems to design, new steerable drones, new ground facilities, and many others.

- Integrate and automate BMC/IPMI/Redfish workflows for out-of-band provisioning and fleet management.
OS & Kernel Engineering:
- Build, customize, and harden Ubuntu images (cloud-init, Debos) and tune systemd/init for low-latency, high-throughput workloads.
- Diagnose and fix kernel/user-space issues using perf, ftrace, eBPF/bpftrace; configure NUMA, IRQ affinity, cgroups/namespaces.
PCIe/Driver Enablement:
- Validate PCIe topologies and features (ACS/ARI/ATS), SR-IOV, IOMMU/VFIO; bring up NIC/GPU drivers and firmware.

Your Career
As a Palo Alto Networks National Channel Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for presenting the Palo Alto Networks Next Generation security platform and technology solutions to Palo Alto Networks' most strategic and impactful channel partners.
As a National Channel SE, You represent the company as a technical advisor tasked with building excitement and support for the company with the partner's sales and technical teams. You take ownership of the technical relationship with our channel partners to demo, train, enable, communicate with and continually engage technical partner team members by proactively managing and delivering technical content and building relationships either onsite, online, and via telephone. Role Summary
Systems Engineer plays a critical role in the design, integration, and lifecycle management of aircraft systems within an aviation design and production environment.
Dimension of Function
This role is focused on the design, development, and integration of advanced aircraft seating systems. Responsible for managing the technical performance of seat systems, including electrical components, actuators, in-seat power, and inflight entertainment (IFE) integration. To ensure these systems are fully compliant with regulatory standards and seamlessly integrated into the aircraft environment.

Area of Responsibility
- Manage the requirements on engineering projects, ensuring they are fully documented and traceable in line with the Requirements Management Plan.
- Capture and validate all stakeholder requirements-both internal and external.
- Review requirements with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and Test Engineers.
- Work closely with the entire engineering project team to ensure that validation and verification activities are completed on time to support the Master Engineering Reviews.
- Develop the product verification strategy and ensure agreement with all stakeholders.
- Provide regular status reports for requirements capture, compliance status, and validation and verification progress.
- Create and maintain product specification documents for internal and customer approval.
Verification & Validation:
- Lead technical reviews, design validation, and safety/risk analyses (FMEA, FTA) for seating systems and their components.
- Coordinate verification and validation activities, ensuring that all testing is completed and complies with the regulatory requirements (e.g., DO-160 testing).
- Support the development of test plans, reports, and the resolution of any discrepancies.
Project and Change Management:
- Support the Engineering Change Process (ECP), ensuring any changes during the New Product Introduction (NPI) are appropriately managed and aligned with project timelines and cost constraints.
- Assist in Engineering proposals in response to Master Change Proposals (MCPs) received during NPI projects.
- Ensure all system changes are documented, tracked, and validated according to the established change management processes.
Stakeholder Collaboration:
- Collaborate with OEMs (e.g., Boeing, Airbus) and airline customers to define interfaces and ensure seamless integration of seat systems into the cabin.
- Maintain close working relationships with suppliers to ensure compliance with the product's requirements and quality standards.
Knowledge / Experience
- Bachelor's degree in systems engineering, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related discipline.
- 3-7 years of experience in commercial aircraft seating systems, cabin interiors, or related aerospace systems engineering roles.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems integration, electromechanical components, and system-level engineering processes.
- Experience with DO-160, ARP4754A, and relevant FAA/EASA certification requirements.
- Proficiency in requirements management tools (e.g., DOORS, Polarion) and CAD tools for interface definition.
- Solid experience in managing requirements and product configuration for engineering projects.
- Strong organisational and communication skills, with the ability to lead and coordinate across technical disciplines
- Experience working with aircraft seat OEMs (e.g., Safran Seats, RECARO, Collins Aerospace Seating, Adient Aerospace).
- Familiarity with in-seat systems such as motorised recline, lumbar support, tray mechanisms, and integrated IFE/power units.
- Experience supporting TSO C127/C127a and STC approval processes for seat installations.
- Knowledge of lean development and design for manufacturability principles.
- Understanding of Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) and SysML.

**Your Career**
As a Palo Alto Networks National Channel Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for presenting the Palo Alto Networks Next Generation security platform and technology solutions to Palo Alto Networks' most strategic and impactful channel partners.
As a National Channel SE, You represent the company as a technical advisor tasked with building excitement and support for the company with the partner's sales and technical teams. You take ownership of the technical relationship with our channel partners to demo, train, enable, communicate with and continually engage technical partner team members by proactively managing and delivering technical content and building relationships either onsite, online, and via telephone. You will be tasked with specific recruitment, enablement, training and communication objectives aligned with the objectives of Palo Alto Networks. In the National SE role, you will primarily work with your CBM and partner leadership to create and execute on your business plan, leveraging the regional SEs and regional sales teams to help drive and facilitate that plan.

Joining Artelys means becoming part of a stimulating environment, made up of passionate experts and giving yourself the opportunity to take part in projects addressing various complex issues dealing with some of the major challenges of our time.
- Artelys is in charge of developing, for a consortium of Transmission System Operators (TSOs), a tool for modeling the European power grid in order to increase power exchanges while ensuring grid security. The tool is based on the open-source java library PowSyBl, and calculations are distributed over an HPC cluster.
- Artelys is carrying out the METISproject on behalf of the European Commission. This project aims to support the Commission in assessing the impact of energy policies on the cost of energy production, the development of renewable energies, and the security of supply for gas, heat, and electricity. Future developments include a better representation of power grid (Flow-Based Capacity Calculation, nodal markets) in Artelys Crystal Super Grid. This « web » software in java and javascript is based on calculation modules written in Python and C++ and distributed on an HPC cluster.
As part of a high-level R&D team, you will leverage your expertise in software engineering. Your main responsibilities will include:
- Participate to the design of software solutions in the energy sector
- Develop operational calculation modules based on applied mathematics
- Maintaining tools in operational conditions and provide third level customer support.
Our computation modules are developed in Java, Python, and C++.
ProfileYou hold an engineering school degree, a master or a Ph.D in software engineering, power systems or applied mathematics. You are the ideal candidate if:
