About the Position - Responsibilities & Duties
We are seeking candidates for the position of Plant Operator at the site of the McKean landfill in Mount Jewett, PA.
Although this position is assigned to Waga Energy’s WAGABOX® located at the site of the McKean landfill in Mount Jewett, PA, candidates must also be available for travel to additional WAGABOX® sites located at the Chemung County landfill in Elmira, New York, the Hyland landfill in Angelica, New York, and the Steuben County landfill in Bath, New York on an as needed basis. Candidates will also be required to spend 3-4 days at Waga Energy’s corporate office in Bala Cynwyd, PA (Philadelphia area) for new hire orientation followed by approximately 2-4 weeks of training at one of the WAGABOX® sites listed above.
The Plant Operator serves as a member of the operations and maintenance team and is responsible for the day-to-day oversight of a landfill biogas to RNG unit (i.e., a WAGABOX®).
Associated responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Overseeing the operations of the WAGABOX® by conducting daily maintenance rounds and completing a daily checklist of monitoring items including measuring gas concentrations and water/oil levels, checking cooler filters, etc.
- Communicating the results of daily monitoring activities to the operations team via daily or weekly reports.
- Diagnosing unit performance issues and performing corrective electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic maintenance tasks as well as other related corrective maintenance tasks as needed.
- Performing preventive maintenance activities based on established schedules provided by the operations team (ex. oil, carbon, and sensor changes, etc.).
- Participating in the annual maintenance process during the annual unit shut down.
- Serving as the on-site contact person for all site visitors (i.e., vendors, suppliers, etc.) and supporting visitors’ work activities as needed.
- Maintaining a continuous focus on safety and serving as a “champion” of a safety focused work environment by ensuring the implementation of an established site safety plan including the following associated responsibilities:
- Presenting the site safety plan to all site visitors (i.e., vendors, suppliers, etc.) and ensuring they sign and follow all aspects of the plan.
- Ensuring the maintenance and proper use of all required personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Immediately reporting to the operations team any breach of the site safety plan.
- Assisting with the procurement of equipment, supplies, tools, etc. including coordinating with outside manufacturers, suppliers, vendors, etc.
- Effectively utilizing a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) to track work activities.
- Participating in unit pre-commissioning and commissioning activities.
- Assisting the operations team with ensuring safe, compliant operations and maximum production/up time.
About You - Qualifications & Skills
The ideal candidate is self-motivated, enjoys independent hands-on operations & maintenance related work, and has:
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in industrial operations, plant operations, mechanical/electrical maintenance, or a related field.
- Related technical or vocational education/training. Additional years of experience will be considered in place of formal education/training.
- Experience within the oil, gas, and/or chemical industry and/or experience working in landfill gas, biogas, natural gas processing, or similar industries.
- Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude, with the ability to troubleshoot and repair equipment.
- Familiarity with industrial safety procedures and regulations, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) and confined space entry.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently are essential for success in this role. As Waga’s “eyes and ears” on the project site, the Operator is responsible for keeping off-site team members informed of all unit-related activities.
- Ability to perform physical tasks associated with the role, including lifting, carrying, and working in varied environmental conditions.

Role Purpose:
The Quality Control & Back-end Inspector will perform manual or semi-automatic sampling, visual inspections, and packaging of MMIC circuits and finished wafers within the required time and in accordance with specifications.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform incoming inspection, in-process inspection, first article inspection, and final inspection of electronic and mechanical components with little to no assistance.

About the Position: This role will be responsible for ensuring that all finished products, from samples to production, meet the highest standards. You will lead a small team and provide timely feedback on any imperfections, as well as collaborate with the Buying team on vendor performance.
This is an on-site role; however, we adhere to safety protocols to keep all employees safe. Daily temperature checks and masks are required, and team members work in a distanced manner throughout our warehouses, offices, and recording studios.
Experience:Quality Control Management: 7 years (Preferred)
