As a Legal team member, you will work across BCG teams and functions to support our business strategy, provide counsel and expertise, drive legal innovation, and leverage the power of new ways of working.
 
WHAT YOU'LL DO

* Based in Paris, as part of BCG’s global team of employment lawyers, you will build expertise within and provide support on employment legal matters in France;
* You will cover the full range of employment legal advisory support including onboarding, offboarding and everything in between, global and local HR processes/documents, investigations, disputes, regulatory issues relating to employment, mobility and immigration matters, and any other advisory support as required;
* Partner closely with all HR teams within France, and support senior BCG leaders navigate complex and sensitive matters, while ensuring a consistent approach to policies and decision-making across the global organization;
* Team successfully across BCG and integrate fully into BCG’s Global Legal Team to resolve or support resolution of complex HR and employment legal issues (both internally and matters where it could interface with external parties);
* Contribute to developing and maintaining Legal Team intellectual property, including template forms, and other materials;
* Work with and direct external counsel as required; and,
* Perform other duties as assigned or required.

* Comfortable in taking on a collaborative advisory role, than fixed on certain outcomes;
* Talent for absorbing new skill sets and areas of expertise quickly and comfortably and the flexibility to deal with a diverse international set of stakeholders and advisors;
* The ability to quickly comprehend complex sets of laws and regulations and interpret those laws within the context of BCG’s global policies and values;
* Perform successfully and produce results in a fast-paced, intellectually intense, client-oriented environment; and,
* Have the interpersonal skills necessary to build relationships throughout a loosely structured, highly collaborative and consensus driven organization.


What You'll Bring

* French qualified employment lawyer, with strategic and operational employment law expertise
* 8+ years PQE of practicing labor and employment law, (candidates outside of this range will also be considered if they can demonstrate they meet the overall requirements of the role);
* Prior in-house experience preferred within a complex international organization, preferably professional services or similar industry;
* Comfortable presenting to both large and small audiences;
* Preference to those with experience working within international offices;
* Gravitas to influence and persuade senior stakeholders both verbally and in writing;
* A positive outlook, ability to remain calm in stressful situations and strong collaborator; and,
* French and English fluency; fluency in any other language is a plus. 


Who You'll Work With
A variety of cohorts and functions across the company, including local and global HR stakeholders, members of the BCG Global Legal Team, Immigration/Mobility, Compliance, Finance, Tax and the Partnership. You will report into the Employment CoE of the Legal Team, with your direct manager based out of Germany and your skip level manager based out of the US.
