Position Overview
Consulting Associates, Senior Associates and Associate Principals assist Vice Presidents and other senior staff by providing conceptual and practical input to competition case work as required. The role brings with it the possibility of working on some of the largest and most significant competition cases in Europe, playing a key role in shaping the cases. Candidates may be Master's, PhD and experienced consultants with prior consulting and competition policy experience. Depending on the level, our Consulting Economists may:
- Identify and conceptualise issues, specifying rigorous economic models to analyse market issues and data, undertaking statistical and econometric estimation, and managing the work of research associate staff and colleagues;
- Supervise, train and mentor research associate staff;
- Assist in the development and presentation of client deliverables, including expert reports and white papers summarising opinions, conclusions, and recommendations using market, industry or client-proprietary data;
- Act as a contact or primary point of contact for lawyers and other industry or government clients on a variety of practice-relevant issues;
- Program, build models and/or perform regression analyses in statistical analysis programs (such as Stata, Python, R, SAS, Matlab, and Mathematica), including large data projects requiring use of cloud computing;
- Ensure the integrity and accuracy of analyses and opinions;
- Participate in, or contribute to, practice-building activities (training, recruiting, publication, expertise sharing, etc.).
Desired Qualifications
- Educational and work experience qualifications differ by position:
- Consulting Associate : MSc/MPhil in economics from well-regarded institutions with a strong foundation in microeconomics, preferably with a specialization in industrial organization or statistics/econometrics, a good first degree in economics, plus up to 3 years of professional work experience in consulting, business, or with a competition authority;
- Senior Associate : PhD/DPhil in economics from well-regarded institutions with a strong foundation in microeconomics, preferably with a specialization in industrial organisation or statistics/econometrics, a good first degree in economics, and up to 3 years of professional work experience in consulting, business, or with a competition authority OR a MSc/MPhil with a similar background, plus 3-5 years of professional work experience in consulting, business, or with a competition authority;
- Associate Principal : PhD/DPhil in economics from well-regarded institutions with a strong foundation in microeconomics, preferably with a specialization in industrial organisation or statistics/econometrics, a good first degree in economics and 3-5 years of professional work experience in consulting, business, or with a competition authority OR a MSc/MPhil with a similar background, plus 5-9 years of professional work experience in consulting, business, or with a competition authority;
- Fluency in English and French, additional fluency in Dutch and/or German desirable;
- Demonstrated understanding of economic concepts, competition/regulatory authorities, competition policy and quantitative and qualitative analysis methods;
- Exceptional written and oral communication skills;
- Demonstrated high level of initiative and leadership;
- Strong teamwork and collaboration capabilities;
- Excellent time management and task prioritisation skills.

Vous aurez comme missions l'organisation et le pilotage de la sous-traitance d'opérations d'usinage des pièces destinées aux marchés de la compétition automobile. Vous aurez également en charge le pilotage des stocks ainsi que des tâches liées à la vie de l'atelier.
Vos missions principales seront :
- Gestion de la sous-traitance d'usinage et autres des pièces pour la compétition automobile, dans le respect des objectifs fixés par le responsable du département :
- Pilotage des commandes de sous-traitance (gestion des priorités, respect des délais clients et gestion des lancement en en fabrication en fonction des disponibilités des ébauches,
- Passation des commandes sous SAP dans le respect des références et quantités définies avec l'équipe Commerce, de la politique de prix et d'achats de Safran Landing Systems,
- Préparation des pièces pour mise en sous-traitance (appairage, mise en caisse, etc.) avec l'équipe logistique,
- Prélèvements des pièces sous Tiscam (logiciel de traçabilité), association des pièces à la commande SAP pour assurer la traçabilité,
- Réceptions des commandes sous SAP et sous Tiscam, archivage des documents de contrôle (interne et externe) o Respect du processus Qualité Département Terrestre : Gestion des rebuts, non conformités,
- Traitements des factures (litiges COCKPIT)
- Veille technologique sur les techniques d'usinage, - Gestion de la sous-traitance de découpe jet d'eau des pièces compétition,
- Rédaction des cahiers des charges d'usinage, fiche Info-achats SAP,
- Sera le référent de l'atelier,
- Gestion des stocks (organisation des stocks, 5S, etc.)
- Gestion des flux de sous-traitance (organisation des transports, navettes, avec les différents sous-traitants
- En cas d'absence ou de surcroît d'activité, il pourra réaliser les tâches liées aux expéditions (BL, bordereau de transport, étiquetage, mise en boîte, etc.)
Profil recherché : Titulaire d'un BAC STI 2D ou équivalent et d'un BTS / BUT Génie Mécanique ou Logistique avec une expérience d'au moins 2 à 3 ans dans un environnement industriel de type Aéronautique ou automobile.
Vous avez des connaissances en Usinage, lecture de plans et une expérience dans la fonction logistique et approvisionnement. Vous avez pu mettre à profit une expérience en gestion d'un périmètre de responsabilités en autonomie.
Par ailleurs, le poste requiert de solides capacités à traiter de multiples sujets variés et données en parallèle essentiels pour l'activité dans un environnement très exigent et changeant qu'est la Formule 1. Une expérience dans le pilotage d'un atelier, ou référent dans un atelier sans lien hiérarchique serait très apprécié.
Rigoureux et polyvalent, vous avez l'esprit d'équipe et faites preuve d'agilité. Vous êtes orienté client, et possédez les qualités suivantes : autonomie, organisation et aptitude à la communication pour remonter l'information au Management et maintenir de bonnes relations commerciales avec les fournisseurs.
Par ailleurs, vous avez un réel intérêt pour le domaine de la compétition automobile et savez répondre aux exigences et à la flexibilité liées à l'activité (Formule 1, WEC, IMSA).
Vous disposez d'une bonne maîtrise des outils informatiques bureautiques (Excel, Word, Powerpoint) et d'un ERP type SAP (module Achats et Logistique), TISCAM (outil de gestion de traçabilité Safran Landing Systems) serait un plus.
