Genesis Process team is a dynamic group working across a range of assignments from traditional upstream oil and gas developments to emerging energy transition technologies. Our work encompasses feasibility assessments and concept selection for new developments through to technical support of mature assets.
At Genesis we work in close collaboration with our clients, develop an understanding of their problems before identifying the possible solutions and supporting their decision making process.
The successful candidate will support a wide range of clients on varied and interesting projects related to the energy industry. You will also interface with the wider Genesis organisation through interactions with other discipline teams and a range of clients in France and overseas.

The Process Safety Engineer reviews all new proposed processes, process equipment, proposed changes to processes or process equipment, and existing plant operations to determine all necessary SHE requirements are addressed in a thorough and rigorous manner. Regular assessments of process safety procedures, related equipment, training of operators, and other SHE related items are also within scope.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provides technical expertise to all departments to help evaluate risks and cost-effectively resolve process safety (Property Protection) issues, including recommendations from PHAs, audits, risk assessments, and incident investigations.
- Verifies that Process Safety Information (PSI) is accessible, completed, and current.
- Function as a Management of Change (MOC) Subject Matter Expert.
- Lead and participate in investigations of site process safety incidents, utilizing Apollo root cause analysis, Tripod analysis, and developing appropriate corrective actions.
- Work with area Operations and R&D to provide process safety support. Daily interaction with area engineers, process specialists, and process leaders.
- Writes specifications for new equipment required to ensure safe operation of manufacturing processes. Writes SOPs and trains operating personnel on proper use of said equipment. Prepare documentation to provide sufficient information for Project Engineering for detailed specifications for cost estimates and construction.
- Investigate and implement continuous improvement processes required to improve Safety in manufacturing operations.
- Support Process Safety in the Americas region as a member of the Process Safety Network Tier 2 group and part of the PS working/expertise groups as applicable. This role includes communication of Process Safety topics to the site. Participation in or presentations at PMP phase transfer meetings in the capacity of addressing SHE risks and mitigation plans.
- Fulfill requirements of assigned process safety life cycle (PSLC) role map roles including role nbr. 2, 4, 6, 14, 25, 26, 27, 38, 42, and 44-51.
- Provide data for process safety key performance indices and propose improvement actions and recommendations accordingly.
You Bring:
- BS Degree in Chemical or equivalent engineering degree.
- 3-5+ years experience as engineer preferably in process safety engineering, chemical operations, medical device, chemical operations, or associated industry.
- Hands on experience with chemical and polymer processing/manufacturing equipment.
- Knowledge of production processes and specific requirements.
- Detailed knowledge of relevant Manufacturing Excellence work processes and applicable SHE & Manufacturing requirements.
- Solid understanding of codes and regulations related to chemical manufacturing environment with particular skill in those areas related to safety.
- Knowledge of FMEA, RCA, tools and application.
- Experience with Project, Word and other business/engineering software desired.

Process engineer – full-time allocation for 6 months initially, with a 6-month rolling contract and 1-month extension options.
Process engineer – immediate start. Total duration estimated at 9 months.
Location/Travel/Accommodation:

Engineers are expected to be based within the Paris office depending on their allocation (100% in Paris at all times, or 50% Paris half the time). Consideration for alternative working arrangements can be given once the initial period is underway, but in-person work is required during project work.

As a member of the High Temperature Superconducting (HTS) team, we're looking for a methodical, problem-solving Physical Vapor Deposition (PVD) Process Engineer to define optimal PVD processes and ensure the high-performance, reliable operation of PVD equipment for prototyping — and ultimately mass-producing — the widest HTS tapes in on Earth.
Your Main Responsibilities
- Operate, commission, troubleshoot, and calibrate PVD process deposition systems, including Magnetron Sputtering and Ion Beam Assisted Deposition (IBAD)
- Design and execute experiments to optimize PVD processes for uniform epitaxial growth of high-performance HTS films
- Write and maintain the operation guide for PVD processes
- Provide process expertise to support the design and development of PVD machines (Magnetron Sputtering and IBAD)
- Recommend machine and/or process improvements to other engineers based on experimental results
- Collaborate with the characterization team to implement methods for seed layer evaluation and to optimize and stabilize thin film deposition parameters
- Manufacture and continuously improve HTS films in close collaboration with the rest of the HTS team

- Education and professional experience
- PhD or Master’s degree + equivalent experience in materials science, physics, or chemical engineering, or related field

- Language requirements
- Fluent in English (C1)
- Knowledge (B1 or higher) of French is a plus.
- Technical competencies
- In-depth knowledge in thin film deposition and/or nanofabrication
- Detailed knowledge of PVD equipment
- Basics knowledges on automation and process monitoring
- Knowledge of CAD (Solid Works or Inventor)
- Coding experience in Python, Matlab or other programming language is a plus

Vos missions principales
En tant qu’Ingénieur Process Mécanique, vous serez en charge de :
- Définir et valider les gammes d’usinage, les paramètres de coupe et les temps de cycle cibles.
- Concevoir, sourcer et optimiser les outils coupants et outillages, en lien avec les fournisseurs.
- Intervenir directement en atelier pour réaliser les essais, affiner les réglages sur machine, valider les résultats qualité.
- Appliquer des corrections dimensionnelles, ajuster les trajectoires CN, et mener des analyses de causes racines.
- Améliorer la performance des lignes : usinage CNC, lavage, contrôle post-usinage.
- Participer aux études de faisabilité technique et à la planification de l’industrialisation.
- Capitaliser les bonnes pratiques et les transférer sur l’ensemble du parc machines.
Nous cherchons un(e) ingénieur(e) capable de combiner expertise technique et présence terrain.
- Diplôme d’ingénieur en mécanique, production industrielle ou équivalent.
- Minimum 3 ans d’expérience dans un environnement d’usinage de production, avec une implication directe sur le réglage et l’optimisation des machines CNC.
- Maîtrise confirmée du réglage, du contrôle dimensionnel, et des outils de coupe.
- Expérience sur logiciels de FAO (CAM) appréciée.
- Excellente lecture de plans et interprétation du tolérancement ISO / GPS.
- Français courant indispensable – l’anglais est un plus.
- Forte autonomie, esprit d’analyse, goût du terrain et des résultats concrets.

Responsibilities:
- Design the laser welding process for metal-to-metal battery assembly production. Evaluate weld performance versus project quality targets and regulations.
- Plan, supervise, and document welding operations in accordance with relevant codes, contracts, or drawings.
- Specify and validate the production equipment designs. Follow the construction of production equipment within the project timing and budget.
- Carry out the acceptance of the equipment at the supplier site and at the OP factory.
- Propose and implement reliable innovations in machine design to improve performance, cost, and robustness.
Minimum Requirements:
- Mechanical Engineering degree or similar.
- Experience in laser welding process for industrial applications. Experience in production equipment development, setup, and commissioning.
- Proven experience in laser welding process set up and validation through a plan of experiments.
- Experience in a railway application environment is a plus (ISO 13919 norm).
Job Technical Skills:
- Technical knowledge on industrial equipment, automation, data management, and process control.
- Fluent in English and French in spoken and written.
- Knowledge of machine industrialization including safety requirements and quality control systems.

As a Process Engineer, you will join the Derbyteam to support our activities within the Energy sector.
Your main responsibilities will be:
- Perform process simulations and feasibility studies to optimize performance.
- Prepare and review technical documentation, including process flow diagrams, P&IDs, and engineering reports.
- Conduct optioneering studies to evaluate multiple process options and select the optimal solution.
- Support the commissioning and start-up of new processes and equipment.
Who are we looking for?
- Engineers with knowledge in a specific area of energy, e.g., renewable energy, oil and gas, power generation.
- Engineers with experience in process control and instrumentation is an advantage. Commitment to safety, sustainability, and continuous improvement.
Experience, skills, and qualifications required:
- Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience in optioneering and evaluating multiple process options.
- Proficiency in process simulation software (e.g., Aspen HYSYS).
- Experience with process control and instrumentation is an advantage.
- Fluency in French and English.
