Job DescriptionAirbus Commercial Aircraft is seeking a Licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineer EASA B1 (f/m) to join our Airbus Customer Care Centre, Working Party Team based in Toulouse, France.
The Licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineer EASA B1 will oversee aircraft repair projects from planning to embodiment and release to service, acting in a certifying capacity . The role includes coordinating the Airbus onsite team and working with customers to deliver high-quality, on-time, and on-cost products.
Team and ResponsibilitiesYou will be part of the Working Party Team , providing after-sales engineering support worldwide, mainly specializing in structural repair, offering certified repair solutions, planning, and embodiment.
Additional activities may include program support, developing tools, validating Service Bulletins, cross-department collaboration, troubleshooting, and repair embodiment support.
This role involves managing teams (up to 60 people), conducting inspections, certifying repair tasks, ensuring airworthiness, maintaining compliance, managing onsite customers, and extensive travel.
Qualifications- EASA Part 66 Aircraft Maintenance Engineers License Cat B1 mandatory (B2 and C advantageous)
- Minimum 2 current Airbus Type Ratings in B1 category
- 5 years certifying experience in a supervisory role
- Proficient in English; French, German, Spanish are a plus
- Safety-oriented and capable of establishing good customer relationships

To further expand our Paris team, we are actively looking for Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (B1&B2 or B1 Certifier) with a valid EASA Part-66 Licence Category B1 or with a valid EASA Part-66 Licence Category B1 and B2 together.
Responsibilities:
- To conduct, supervise and lead line and base maintenance on one or more of the following aircraft types:
- Falcon 2000EX
- Bombardier Global 5000/6000 Series
- Bombardier Challenger 350
- Bombardier Challenger 650
- Cessna Citation 560XLS
- Cessna Citation Latitude 680A
- Embraer EMB 505 Phenom 300
- To conduct inspections of the aircraft as per the approved maintenance program
- AOG support, troubleshooting, towing, handling, and flight preparation
- Servicing and maintaining the tooling and equipment
Required qualifications:
- Valid Part-66 License with B1 or B1&B2 together
- Have at least one endorsement on above mentioned aircraft type
- Driving license (B category)
A successful applicant:
- Has a proven track record in project management
- Has thorough knowledge of EASA and FAA Part-145 / M legislation
- Is fluent in English (both verbally and written)
- Has basic knowledge of French (or is willing to learn)
- Has great communication and team working skills
- Is quality and customer satisfaction driven
- Versatile, able to work in a dynamic environment, and willing to travel
- Is willing to work in shifts, based on this contract there will be only 5 night shifts which also translates into the fact that our team works in a pattern 5 – 5 – 4

What You Will Do

- Install packaging production lines.
- Train customer operators and maintenance technicians.
- Prepare timely visit reports: technical support reports, maintenance reports, etc.
- Build and maintain a positive and lasting relationship with clients.
- Education in electromechanics with knowledge of automation.
- At least 3 to 5 years of experience in industrial installations, maintenance, and/or field service work.

We are hiring a Software Maintenance Engineer to…
…work in a dynamic and exciting engineering role in Linux-based infrastructure and applications, covering all layers of the stack, including bare metal, virtualization (KVM), containerization (Docker/LXC/LXD), storage (Ceph and Linux filesystems), networking (OVS, OVN and Core networking), OpenStack, Kubernetes and the open source applications running on top of them. It will challenge you to show the breadth of your engineering skills, which will be needed to work on almost any aspect of Ubuntu and the open source applications large enterprise customers run.
This role is an opportunity for a technologist with a passion for Linux and open source to build a career with Canonical and drive success for our customers, community and the company. If you have an affinity for open source software, great communication skills, and a passion for troubleshooting and fixing issues in technology used by millions across the world, then you will enjoy working with some of the best people in the industry at Canonical.
This role deals with critical issues in the open source stack that require upstream bug fixes. Our engineers are able to work productively at any level of the stack including the kernel and in a wide range of languages, to understand and address the software issues at hand. Our group is critical to the success of our customers, partners and Ubuntu itself.
You will help with troubleshooting and driving issues to resolution with workarounds, guidance, and bug fixes to be released upstream and in Ubuntu.
Location: This is a remote role, we have teams in all time zones.
The role entails
- Resolve complex customer problems related to Ubuntu, Kernel, Ceph, OpenStack, or Kubernetes and other open source software
- Maintain a close working relationship with Canonical's Field, Support and product engineering teams
- Participate in upstream communities
- Develop bug fixes, backport patches, and work with upstream for inclusion
- Review code produced by other engineers
- Demonstrate good judgment in technical methods and techniques
- Prioritize work and manage your time effectively against those priorities
- Participate in team discussions to improve processes, tools, and documentation
- Maintain clear, technical and concise communications
- Work from home and travel internationally up to 10% of work time for team meetings, events and conferences
- An exceptional academic track record
- Background in Computer Science, STEM or similar
- Experience with Linux and open source software
- Experience with at least one of Python, Go, C or C++ on Linux
- A drive to learn unfamiliar technology and deep-dive difficult issues
- Willingness to travel up to 4 times a year for internal events
- You love technology and working with brilliant people
- You are curious, flexible, articulate, and accountable
- You value soft skills and are passionate, enterprising, thoughtful, and self-motivated
- You have interest in, or willingness to learn about any of the following: Ubuntu Linux - kernel or userspace, Kubernetes, OpenStack, Ceph, QEMU/KVM, LXC/LXD,Postgresql, Mongo, Debian packaging, distributed systems
