Description
Amazon is looking for a Security Engineer with experience in building and operating production-grade tools and systems. In this role, you will help develop automation solutions that enable and enhance Security Response capabilities across the largest cloud provider in the world. You will create the infrastructure and systems that empower Security Response teams to operate at scale.
You will be joining a team that is continually looking for ways to invent and simplify, at scale, how we support incident response, how we improve the security posture of Amazon Security Services, all the while helping driving complex security issues to resolution.
As a Security Engineer, you will be a trusted technical contributor, capable of navigating ambiguity, simplifying complex problems, and effectively communicating a vision. You work part of a team, and make appropriate trade-offs between business and technical constraints. You identify opportunities to converge overlapping technical efforts, and drive the long term strategy with support of other engineering leaders, and partner orgs. You will be expected to carry on-call duties, whether by directly supporting our internal incident security operations response team, or maintaining response capabilities for our customers; you build it, you run it. You will also be expected to drive operational excellence and efficiency in everything you do, whether by researching new, or scaling up existing capabilities, creating sane procedures, automating day-to-day tasks, and ensuring that the needs and issues of our internal customers are being addressed.
Key job responsibilities
- Build automations, tools and systems that empower Security Response teams to operate at scale. The core of the position is delivery.
- Works with internal detection services to ensure proper threat detection coverage across internal accounts, monitoring onboarding processes and maintaining daily audits.
- Implements automated security risk remediations, enabling quick response to detected threats and reported incidents.
- Act as a technical point of contact on your team. You engage autonomously with product and system owners to help create, build and innovate security operations.
- Carry on-call day only duties, whether by directly supporting our internal incident security operations response team, or maintaining response capabilities for our customers; you build it, you run it.
About the team
Operational Research and Development (ORD) builds automated solutions to address AWS security challenges at scale. Security Engineers and Software Development Engineers collaborate to create robust systems that handle security incidents and automate repetitive tasks. The team transforms manual security processes into code-driven solutions, allowing security teams to focus on complex investigations while maintaining consistent protection across AWS services.
Basic Qualifications
- BS degree in Computer Science, Security, Distributed Systems, Networking, Computer Engineering, (or) 3+ years' equivalent technology experience.
- 3+ years experience with focus in areas such as systems, network, web protocols, and/or application security.
- 1+ year experience automating security tasks, or building security tools.
Preferred Qualifications
- A MS degree in Computer Science, MIS, Computer Engineering, or 5+ years' equivalent technology experience.
- 2+ years experience building scalable incident response utilities and automated tools.
- A high degree of organisation and be very detail-oriented. Must be able to interact with and influence people at all levels.
- Experience with virtualisation technologies, familiarity with AWS and GuardDuty services is highly valued in particular.
- Extensive knowledge of internet security issues and threat landscape.
- Strong knowledge of web protocols and an in-depth knowledge of Linux/Unix tools and architecture.
- Well-rounded background in host, network and application security.
- Previous experience on a Security Operations team, or experience coordinating responses to security incidents.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.

The Role

As a Director, Research and Strategic Initiatives, you will lead and expand our engagement in European and Member States funded projects. In this role, you will build strategic partnerships, lead our growing team of specialists, and engage with the rest of the Foundation’s leadership team to focus on initiatives that drive our overall mission. You will ensure the long-term success of the Foundation's engagement, and enhance our reputation with the European and national Institutions.
This position reports to the Vice President of European Operations and Policy and will lead a team of Research Project Managers who drive our involvement in specific European and Member States funded projects. You will oversee our various processes related to research and strategic initiatives, including overseeing the bid process, leading the engagement in consortia development, tracking and reporting of projects, and evangelizing our mission and our capabilities.

As the ideal candidate, you will have a strong understanding of the EU institutions, the overall EU research landscape, and ideally, have previous experience in building and managing consortia for European projects.


Responsibilities
  • Manage partnerships: Oversee and cultivate relationships with stakeholders, establishing and contributing to project consortia. Cultivate and sustain strategic partnerships with stakeholders, including EU institutions, NGOs and RTOs.
  • Manage the team: Lead the team responsible for preparing project proposals, responding to calls for tenders, and fulfilling project commitments. Coordinate efforts with other relevant teams in the organisation.
  • Project proposals: Manage project proposals as a project partner or the project coordinator and lead consortium-building efforts across EU member states.
  • Project Delivery and Reporting: Supervise the execution and reporting of EU and other projects, ensuring adherence to budgetary and planning requirements, and manage relationships with EU project officers.
  • Representation: Represent the foundation at EU-level events and conferences, advocating for the advantages of open-source software and its contribution to innovation and competitiveness.
  • Strategy: Monitor upcoming calls for projects and tenders, and recommend to management on go/no-go decisions. Offer analytical insights, strategic direction, and support to the foundation's leadership regarding EU project opportunities that advance open-source software development and adoption.
  • Growth. Actively identify and seek new opportunities for strategic engagement within the open source communities to enhance our position as the leading European-based, globally focused open source foundation.


Qualifications

Required
  • Minimum of 6-10 years of relevant work experience in EU projects or similar
  • Demonstrated understanding of EU institutions and EU and government funding programs
  • Excellent writing skills, including proposal and report drafting
  • Strong management skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with experience building relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Excellent analytical and strategic thinking abilities, with the ability to synthesize complex information and develop and communicate effective policy solutions
  • Ability to work in a highly collaborative and distributed team


Preferred
  • Fluency in English is required. Proficiency in an additional language, such as German or French, is a plus.

Context

With the increasing complexity of numerical simulation codes, new approaches are required to analyze the growing amount of data. The PDI Data Interface code coupling library is designed to fulfill this goal. The open-source PDI library provides tools for process-local loose coupling in high-performance simulation codes and offers interfaces in C, C++, Fortran, and Python. It supports plugins and a YAML configuration to interleave plugins with additional code without modifying the original application. In-situ data analysis is explored with the Deisa plugin based on Dask to transfer data to dedicated processes for analysis. The team aims to enable feedback between in-situ analysis and simulations for better resource allocation and monitoring. The work includes opportunities to apply AI methods for HPC and HPDA.

Work environment

As a member of the PDI team, you will join engineers and scientists focusing on HPC and collaborate with PDI users and other HPC code developers. You will have access to top European supercomputers for validation of developments.

Team and Role Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and innovative individual to join our Paris-based Quality Assurance team. The position oversees Manual/Automation testing of the Security Finance area (Front To Back) and General Post Trade Processing. This is a tremendous opportunity to strengthen technical, business & product skills. The position requires someone with a strong motivation and desire to work in a challenging environment. An understanding of the release and software development lifecycle is a plus.

Responsibilities
  • Guarantee the quality and the persistence of the software by understanding the requirement/specification document and designing test cases to capture bugs within the system. Execution of test cases and testing the corrections of bugs and enhancements
  • Work in close collaboration with both our Product Management and Engineering teams to ensure the inclusion of enhancements requested by clients in the software and ensure delivery
  • Design, development, & execution of manual and automated test solutions
  • Analysis of automated test results and failures
  • Maintenance of existing automated test solutions
  • Documenting test cases and maintaining the test library
  • Local environment management: Creation, upgrade, and maintenance of test environments, creation, and maintenance of test data
Skills And Requirements
  • A Master’s degree in Finance, Mathematics, Business, Economics, Engineering graduate or IT
  • 3+ years’ experience working within the banking/financial industry
  • Knowledge of the Capital Markets, Asset Classes Trade capture, or Financial Software industry
  • Experience in the testing process (test planning, test case writing, test execution: manual and automated, non-regression, system test & user test)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to read complex requirement/specification documents and design test cases
  • Ability to do complex setups and configurations and execute test cases
  • Strong ability to work independently in a techno-functional environment
  • Experience with phases of the test cycle (Test planning, Test case development, test execution: manual and automated, regression, system test & user test)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Self-motivated, fast learner, and able to be autonomous on problem solving
  • Team player and a good communicator to share knowledge and collaborate with the team
  • Must be a fast learner, self-motivated, team player, and collaborator
  • Experience with Oracle, SQL Queries, Excel VBA, C, C++, and Python would be added advantage
  • Hands-on experience with Xray or QualityCenter will be an advantage
Our Office

Adenza Paris is located on the ground floor of the Centorial, an emblematic building of Paris, between the Place de l'Opéra Garnier and the Palais de la Bourse. Our location is convenient as it is in front of the "Quatre Septembre" station, providing excellent transport links, and it is near several restaurants, coffee shops, and Gyms as well. Our suite can accommodate about 125 employees and have 8 conference rooms. We also have a game room and a common kitchen.

Rejoignez notre équipe R&D au Centre de Recherche de l'Oise d'Arkema, près de Paris et de l'aéroport CDG. Sartomer, division du pôle Coating Solutions d'Arkema et l'un des leaders mondiaux dans les domaines des adhésifs et des matériaux, recherche un ingénieur (H/F) au sein de son équipe R&D Application, pour assurer l'assistance technique en clientèle et le développement de la gamme de produits destinés à des marchés en forte croissance, notamment les impressions 3D, et contribuer au développement durable des activités.

Vous développez une expertise technique dans votre domaine afin de soutenir le développement de nouvelles opportunités, qu'il s'agisse de nouveaux produits ou de nouvelles applications, et assurez le support technique aux clients dans les marchés correspondants. Vous participez aux échanges techniques au sein des plateformes globales et interagissez avec l'équipe Application, l'équipe Synthèse, le Business, l'usine, l'unité pilote, le laboratoire d'analyse et de physicochimie. Vous êtes responsable, notamment, de la promotion technique de nos produits lors de visites clients, de l'assistance technique à ces clients et de la coordination des actions R&D (interface client) en liaison avec l'équipe Application, l'équipe Synthèse et les laboratoires d'analyses et de physicochimie. Vous contribuez activement, au sein de l'équipe R&D, au développement de nouvelles opportunités identifi e9es et validées par les responsables Marché. Vous participez également aux échanges techniques au sein des plateformes mondiales.

Si vous rejoignez cette équipe, vos missions consisteront à :

  • Assurer le support et l'assistance technique aux clients dans les marchés adhésifs et matériaux (incluant l'impression 3D), identifier de nouvelles opportunités de développement.
  • Coordonner un portefeuille de projets de R&D, notamment pour l'interface client, et soutenir le développement de nouvelles applications.
  • Développer les connaissances applicatives des produits de notre gamme, particulièrement dans les marchés des Adhésifs et des Matériaux, avec l'encadrement éventuel d'un technicien.
  • Contribuer à la rédaction de supports techniques pour promouvoir notre gamme dans ces marchés.
  • Suivre les actions d'assistance technique au laboratoire et coordonner transversalement les projets au sein de l'équipe Sartomer et du Centre de Recherche.
  • Participer à la veille technologique et à l'échange technique au sein des plateformes mondiales de Sartomer et du pôle Coating Solutions.
  • Développer la connaissance de la gamme et des marchés de Sartomer.

Description du profil :

  • Ingénieur(e) chimiste avec une orientation Formulation/Application en lien avec les polymères et revêtements (Chimie / Physicochimie).
  • Au moins 3 ans d'expérience sur un poste de recherche permettant autonomie et initiative, idéalement dans les revêtements obtenus sous radiations et/ou dans les adhésifs.
  • Apprécie le travail technique en laboratoire, est organisé et dispose d'une bonne méthodologie expérimentale. Capacité à travailler en mode projet.
  • Bonnes capacités relationnelles au sein de l'équipe et avec les collègues.
  • Niveau d'anglais suffisant pour une langue de travail.
