THE OPPORTUNITY

CONTEXT:

You will be part of the InfoSec team with a mission to build, maintain, and continuously improve our Information Security program, providing peace of mind and assurance of protection and safety to our customers. ROLE:

We are looking for a Senior Security Analyst to join our InfoSec team. This role will help drive various GRC activities which include supporting prospect and customer security questions, maintaining security policies, supporting security audits and assessments and driving new security certifications/compliance initiatives.

WHAT YOU WILL DO WITH US

  • Lead and support compliance initiatives across global and regional frameworks including SOC 1/SOC 2, ISO 27001, IRAP, PCI-DSS, SecNumCloud, Cyber Essentials Plus (CE+), BSI C5, NIST 800-53
  • Evaluate technical controls across the technology stack, including all layers of the TCP/IP model (e.g. network segmentation, firewall rulesets, TLS/SSL configuration, IDS/IPS, access controls, application security, encryption in transit/at rest, cloud security configurations), and translate security requirements into actionable guidance for engineering and infrastructure teams.
  • Drive and manage customer security audits, security questionnaires, and contract reviews with a primary focus on the EMEA region. Participate in the negotiation and review of French contracts to ensure alignment with security and compliance obligations.
  • Attend prospect and customer meetings and effectively present Ivalua's security architecture and control information to them.
  • Lead or support internal and third party security risk management processes, including risk identification, analysis, scoring, treatment planning, and ongoing monitoring.
  • Support continuous compliance monitoring activities using manual and automation and GRC tooling to maintain control effectiveness, generate evidence, and ensure audit readiness.
  • Own execution and coordination of key security and availability controls such as Business Impact Analysis (BIA), Disaster Recovery testing, security incident response exercises, access reviews, etc.

YOUR PROFILE

If you have the below experience and strengths this role could be for you:

Skills and Experience:

  • At least 4 years of experience as Security Analyst GRC
  • Strong working knowledge of security, risk, and compliance frameworks (e.g. NIST CSF & 800-53, ISO 27001, SOC, HITRUST, HIPAA, PCI-DSS, GDPR)
  • Direct experience managing audits, self-assessments, or risk assessments against one or more InfoSec frameworks listed above
  • Experience performing or supporting security risk management processes (risk assessments, risk registers, business impact analysis)
  • Familiarity with continuous compliance and monitoring platforms
  • Good understanding of cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP) and ability to discuss security architecture and control implementation with technical teams
  • Knowledge and experience working with IT and security personnel as well as security concepts across all layers of technology (network, infrastructure, web applications, cloud environments)
  • Knowledge of risk and security industry literature and knowledge bases (e.g. OWASP, MITRE ATT&CK, NIST
  • Relevant audit and/or Information Security certifications (e.g. CISSP, CISA, CISM, Azure Cloud Security) are desired
  • Prior experience at a Big 4 firm or in a security/compliance function in a cloud/SaaS environment is a plus

  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills. Ability to communicate efficiently and professionally in both French and English, including in contractual, regulatory, and technical contexts
  • Demonstrated ability to work across geographically distributed teams and with external vendors, auditors, or regulators.

The Information Security Team establishes and manages Essity Group's information security on behalf of our Chief Digital & Information Officer. The governance and management of security is executed through the Essity Information Security Management System (ISMS).

We are looking for an Information Security Analyst with a strong interest in Security Culture and Awareness, and a proactive mindset to drive improvements within their areas of responsibility. This role is part of Essity's Information Security Team and contributes to the company's global Information Security Management Process (ISMP).

An Information Security Analyst has a broad responsibility to cover tasks in all parts of the company's Information Security Management Process (ISMP)

The geographical scope is global. The position is preferable in Gothenburg, but other Essity offices in Europe can be discussed.

Main Responsibilities:
Information Security Auditing:
You will lead, conduct, and follow up on audits of global IT services and applications, partly on behalf of Essity's Internal Audit function. These audits are part of a well-established internal audit program and will involve limited travel, primarily within Europe.

Security Awareness & Culture:
You will coordinate and actively contribute to our global security awareness initiatives. This includes planning, executing, and aligning awareness activities across the Information Security Teams to foster a strong security culture throughout the organization.

Continuous Improvements:
You will play an active role in driving improvements within your area, contributing to the development of efficient and effective security programs and processes that support our strategic goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct internal audits of IT services, monitor compliance with security standards, and follow up on remediation activities.
  • Drive security awareness across the organization by leading initiatives, managing awareness platforms, and acting as a trusted advisor to foster a strong security culture.
  • Plan and prioritize annual security services, make decisions based on standards and risk exposure, and report on security posture to IT management.
  • Maintain security documentation, monitor emerging threats and technologies, and handle security-related requests.

Experience and Qualification:
We're seeking a candidate with a foundation in information security, including experience in auditing, risk management, compliance and awareness. You should be confident making risk-based decisions and have hands-on knowledge across key security domains such as endpoint, identity, network, and cloud. Familiarity with detection, response, and recovery processes, including disaster recovery planning.

Strong communication skills are essential, along with the ability to explain security concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences. You take a pedagogical approach to raising awareness and motivating employees to maintain a security-conscious mindset.

You're organized, reliable, and experienced in documenting and presenting information effectively. A self-driven team player with a positive attitude, you know how to deliver results and foster a strong security culture across the organization.

Education:

  • A bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Professional security certifications such as CISA or CISSP are meritorious.

As part of our growing Security & Resilience team, the Data Centre Security Assurance Analyst will act as a key player in safeguarding the physical integrity and operational resilience of our European and UK data centres.

Working closely with site management teams, technology partners, and operational stakeholders, you will provide expert analysis, advice, and monitoring of physical security controls to ensure compliance with both internal standards and client requirements. You will help foster a strong security culture across multiple locations, ensuring risks are effectively identified, assessed, and mitigated.

This role involves frequent collaboration with an international community of colleagues, suppliers, and customers. Excellent communication skills in English are essential. The successful candidate will contribute to delivering trusted, resilient services to our clients in a fast-evolving digital landscape.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Conduct regular assurance reviews and site inspections to evaluate the effectiveness of physical security and resilience controls across the data centre estate.
  • Analyse incidents, identify trends, and recommend corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Support the continuous improvement of site-level security policies, processes, and procedures in alignment with global standards.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to site management on security matters, helping to identify vulnerabilities and propose pragmatic mitigation strategies.
  • Liaise with project teams to ensure that security requirements are integrated into new build and expansion projects.
  • Prepare clear, accurate reports and dashboards on security performance for both internal and customer-facing use.
  • Support readiness for internal audits and external certifications, including ISO 27001, PCI DSS, and SOC 2.
  • Participate in vendor management activities, including overseeing performance of manned guarding service providers and other third-party contractors.
  • Engage with customers to represent the Security & Resilience function during meetings, audits, and site visits.
  • Contribute to a proactive, collaborative, and solution-focused security culture across all sites within your area of responsibility.

Experience & Skills:

  • Proven experience in physical security assurance, risk management, or security operations, ideally within critical infrastructure or data centre environments.
  • Solid understanding of current physical security technologies and their application in protecting critical assets.
  • Experience conducting security assessments and translating findings into practical improvement actions.
  • Good working knowledge of key industry frameworks such as ISO 27001, PCI DSS, ISAE/SSAE SOC 2.
  • Familiarity with resilience and business continuity principles relevant to data centre operations.
  • Experience in managing or monitoring manned guarding providers and contracts.
  • Ability to analyse security-related data and produce clear, actionable reports.
  • Fluent in English (written and spoken) — comfortable operating in an international, multicultural environment.
  • Competence in using Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams).

Certifications:

  • CPP (Certified Protection Professional) or equivalent international qualification is required.
  • PSP, PCI, or other relevant certifications are advantageous.
  • Training or qualifications in risk management, resilience, or compliance would be a plus.

About This Role:

Gartner Analysts are industry thought leaders who create must-have research, market insights and best practices for a broad range of defense organizations. This analyst role sits within Gartner's CIO and AI Leaders Research, Government and Education Practice. The analyst will support CIOs and other technology executives in accelerating national defense modernization and innovation.

A Senior Director serves as a leader within Gartner's Business and Technology Insights organization, establishing oneself as a credible voice within their designated market at local, regional, and/or global levels. Using exceptional research and analytical skills, a Senior Director plays a significant role in producing insights that Gartner clients consume and apply to their mission-critical priorities. They are a trusted source of advice for clients, reinforcing Gartner's value every day.
