Analyst will create Gartner research and provide related advice to clients and support the sales force in new sales and client retention. The research provides insight, predictions and actionable advice to clients in the area of AI, GenAI, Machine Learning (ML) and Data Science. This includes writing about, presenting and advising organizations about AI technologies, governance, best practices, market trends and vendors and their solutions, service providers, governance and best practices in AI.

What you will do:

  • Conduct research and analysis in AI, GenAI, Machine Learning and Data Science. Specific areas of focus will include strategy, best practices, market trends, technologies and vendors.

  • Applicable experience in an industry discipline and deep knowledge of a particular market, industry or role; understanding of both technology and industry to include the market, products and user strategies in specific areas.

  • Cover the specified areas as well as applicable adjacent areas, while maintaining a view across a broad spectrum of the market, to produce innovative, thought-leading, impactful, fact-based research.

  • Identify critical questions facing Gartner clients and crafting appropriate research methods to address them. Provide in-depth analysis based on extensive client input, collaboration with other Gartner analysts and personal experience.

  • Lead a body of research and be recognized in the industry as a subject matter expert – develop a following.

  • Create and deliver high value presentations and other materials.

  • Assist the Sales organization in selling and retention on topics covered by the Analyst's team.

  • Provide high quality and timely research peer review. Provide mentorship and support team members.

  • Actively participate in or lead research projects as needed and collaborate effectively with peers.

Who you are:

  • Articulate and succinct communication skills; ability to explain complex ideas effectively.

  • The ability to communicate credibly and effectively with executive audiences (executive presence) and presentation skills.

  • Exceptional analytical skills: ability to apply conceptual models, recognize patterns and draw and defend conclusions. Ability to think abstractly and strategically is a must.

  • Strong project planning and management skills.

  • Ability to take direction and be self-directed in executing against plans.

  • Strong collaboration ethos, influencing and leadership skills.

  • A motivated, creative individual who can grow research depth and skills.

What you will need:

  • 10+ years of experience within the technology field, specifically AI/ML.

  • relevant qualifications and/or relevant experience preferred

  • Technology and business knowledge of end user strategies, AI/ML market, vendors and products.

  • AI/ML model development, deployment and management.

  • Application development and use implications of AI

  • AI Governance

  • AI vendors comparisons including cloud based AI services (ex. Amazon, Google, Microsoft)

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience; Graduate degree preferred

  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 25% (where applicable)

Votre Mission

Piloter la vision, l’exécution et l’impact de la data science. Le Lead Data Science est responsable de l’alignement stratégique des initiatives de data science avec les objectifs business, de la qualité des livrables algorithmiques, ainsi que de l’encadrement technique et méthodologique de l’équipe data science.



Responsabilités clés (missions)

  • Pilotage de la stratégie Data Science

    • Co-construire avec le VP Data et les métiers la vision data science de l’entreprise.

    • Identifier les cas d’usage à fort impact (machine learning, scoring, NLP, GenAI…) et prioriser les chantiers.

    • Traduire les besoins business en projets data science concrets, mesurables et livrables.



  • Delivery & excellence technique

    • Superviser la conception, le développement et le déploiement des modèles.

    • Garantir la qualité scientifique, la robustesse et l’industrialisation des algorithmes.

    • Instaurer des bonnes pratiques (reproductibilité, évaluation, documentation, MLOps, etc.).



  • Management & mentorat de l’équipe

    • Encadrer les data scientists (1:1, plan de montée en compétences, revue de code/expériences).

    • Développer une culture d’exigence, d’apprentissage continu et de partage dans l’équipe.

    • Participer activement au recrutement de profils data science.



  • Collaboration & impact business

    • Travailler étroitement avec les équipes Produit, Tech, Growth, Risk, etc., pour maximiser l’impact des projets ML.

    • Accompagner les métiers dans la compréhension, l’interprétation et l’adoption des modèles.

    • Porter la démarche “ML explainability” et ROI dans une logique d’aide à la décision.





Profil

Expérience



  • 6 à 10 ans d'expérience dans des environnements data science appliqués (scale-up, fintech, conseil, etc.).

  • Expérience avérée dans la livraison de projets ML end-to-end (POC → prod), y compris dans des environnements complexes.

  • Première expérience de lead/management d’équipe fortement souhaitée.



Compétences techniques & méthodologiques



  • Excellente maîtrise de Python, des bibliothèques ML (scikit-learn, XGBoost, PyTorch, etc.) et des outils de gestion de projet data science.

  • Bonne connaissance des pratiques de mise en production de modèles (API, CI/CD, MLOps, monitoring).

  • Solides bases en statistiques, en modélisation et en évaluation d’algorithmes.

  • Connaissance de l’écosystème data (warehouse, ETL, outils de visualisation, etc.).



Soft Skills



  • Leadership technique reconnu, capacité à embarquer une équipe et convaincre les parties prenantes.

  • Excellente capacité de vulgarisation et de communication avec des interlocuteurs non-techniques.

We’re looking for a Lead Data Science Researcher who thrives in research-heavy environments and enjoys exploring uncharted territory with the support of a strong technical team. You will lead a compact team of two data scientists, guiding them on high-impact research initiatives and experimental projects. Your role will involve pushing the boundaries of applied machine learning — especially in the context of medical and clinical data — and turning complex problems into innovative solutions.

What we’re looking for :

  • Exceptional analytical and statistical skills-comfortable with uncertainty, inference, and experimentation;
  • Strong background in different areas of ML (traditional classification and regression techniques, recommender systems, text data, clustering, etc.);
  • Solid experience with deep learning frameworks like PyTorch or TensorFlow;

Main responsibilities :

  • Work with business teams to understand requirements, and translate them into technical needs
  • Apply data science expertise in machine learning, statistics, forecasting and optimization to multiple AI projects / products.
  • Gather / organize large & complex data assets, and perform relevant analysis to propose and implement relevant data models for each business case
  • Build models, algorithms, simulations, and experiments by writing highly optimized code and using state-of-the art machine learning technologies.
  • Work on full-spectrum of activities, from conducting ML experiments to delivering production-ready models.
  • Use data analysis, visualization, storytelling, and data technologies to scope, define and deliver AI-based data products.
  • Work with developers, engineers, and MLOps to deliver AI / ML solutions.

About you

Experience :

  • Experience developing deployable code and deploying models in product-focused development under an agile environment.
  • Track record of applying machine learning / deep learning approaches to solve health-related problems.
  • Experience with content generation using Large Language Models (LLM) is desired.
  • Experience in a healthcare company is a strong plus

  • Knowledge of Agentic Frameworks
  • Building systems where LLMs act as agents capable of reasoning and interacting with APIs / tools.
  • Familiarity with frameworks like LangChain, or similar agent-driven architectures.
  • Prompt Engineering and Few-Shot Learning
  • Crafting effective prompts for specific tasks, leveraging few-shot and zero-shot paradigms.
  • Optimizing prompts for performance, clarity, and reduced token consumption.
  • Familiarity with LLM evaluation frameworks (e.g., OpenAI Evals, custom metrics).
  • Understanding of transformer-based architectures (e.g., GPT, BERT, T5).
  • Knowledge of tokenization, embeddings, and pre-training / fine-tuning paradigms.
  • Building NLP pipelines for text classification, summarization, and entity recognition.
  • Familiarity with Knowledge Graphs and Semantic Search
  • Building and integrating knowledge graphs for structured information retrieval.
  • Leveraging semantic search for improved accuracy in large-scale document understanding.

Education :

  • PhD in mathematics, computer science, engineering, physics, statistics, economics, or a related quantitative discipline with strong coding skills, OR Master's Degree in relevant domain
