The
Laboratoire NABI (INSERM U1334, CNRS UMR8175) at Université Paris Cité
invites applications for a 3-year, full-time PhD position in Virology.
The successful candidate will focus on the cellular and virological
characterization of HIV-1 cell-to-cell dissemination to macrophages
from infected T cells. This research aims to advance understanding of
the mechanisms underlying HIV-1 transfer, viral persistence, and the
role of infected macrophages in tissue reservoirs. The position will
be based at the Saints-Pères site in Paris, under the supervision of
Dr. Serge Benichou, with collaborative support from Dr. Florence
Marguet and Dr. Gregory Lavieu.
Requirements
– Master’s degree in Cellular and Molecular Biology or a
closely related field
– Strong background in virology and HIV-1
research
– Practical experience in BSL3 laboratory
environments
– Proficiency in both French and English, with
strong oral and written communication skills
– Demonstrated
autonomy, motivation for HIV-1 research, and ability to work
effectively in multidisciplinary teams
